John Flournoy
Sr. Director of Sales and Leasing
John Flournoy leads sales and leasing strategy for McCord, where he drives commercial development at Generation Park, a 4,300-acre master-planned economic center on Beltway 8 in northeast Houston. Over his 14 years with McCord, he has sourced and negotiated major real estate transactions with leading global companies including Eli Lilly, IKEA, Target, TechnipFMC, and United Therapeutics.
Since breaking ground in 2014, Generation Park has transformed from raw pastureland into a world-class development with more than 7 million square feet of completed and active projects, representing over $8 billion in value and supporting more than 4,000 full-time employees. Notably, John helped spearheaded efforts to attract Eli Lilly, which in the Fall of 2025 purchased 236 acres for a $6.5 billion active pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturing campus, a first-of-its-kind win for both Houston and the State of Texas and a major catalyst for the region’s life science ecosystem.
John grew up in Houston and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Archaeology from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.
