Founded in 1973, McCord is a leader in commercial real estate and has a great track record of success in urban infill and green field development. Since joining MDI, Ryan has led more than three-quarters of a billion dollars of transactions in office, retail, multi-family, condo, bond, and land throughout Texas and across the country. Today, Ryan’s focus is on developing Generation Park, the newest and largest master planned economic center in Houston. Located on Beltway 8 in the Lake Houston area, over $1Bn / 2MM SF of Office, Multifamily, Retail, Civic, Hospitality, and Industrial have been constructed in Generation Park since breaking ground in 2014. At 4,200 acres Generation Park is by far the largest contiguous property on Beltway 8, has the most frontage (2.5 miles) and is the closest to Downtown, both airports, all major sporting venues, and the Texas Medical Center. McCord takes seriously the stewardship owed to such a significant development opportunity in the Greater Houston Area and is focused on creating the greatest possible value for the entire region. Gonzalo joined the Generation Park team in 2018 and has since managed over $200 million in infrastructure projects, including the supervising of design and construction of $1.4 billion in office, multifamily, retail, civic, hospitality, and industrial properties. With over 28 years of worldwide experience, he has led projects across Chile, Argentina, Perú, Panamá, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Canada, and 38 states within the United States. His background in a variety of cultural, regulatory, and environmental contexts has solidified his ability to craft spaces that are both locally resonant and universally appealing.  Prior to McCord Development, Gonzalo previously worked as Principal and Design Lead for LRK Inc. He has also had positions in global urban design and planning for real estate development with Urban Design Associates, URBE Ltd, and Arquitectonica Intl’. Gonzalo has built urban spaces that balance real estate development and commerce, with an emphasis on long-term economic development and social vitality, ranging from mine closure plans to small urban revitalization initiatives. He continues to impact the conversation on innovative urban development and architectural excellence through panels at the Carnegie Museum of Art, ULI National Conferences, and ConstruExpo in Mexico, championing projects that improve the quality of life for communities all around the world.  His project management experience includes coordinating the efforts of several professionals for privately and some publicly financed projects with excellent results. He has managed and continue to manage multiple projects with clients like Avalon Bay, Hillwood, Vulcan Real Estate, Crescent Communities, Disney, Lennar, Toll Brothers, Hines, The Howard Hughes Corp, UNDP, McCormack Baron and Salazar, Newmont Mining Company, and London Regional among others.  Gonzalo is also a key contributor to academia. As a part-time lecturer at Rutgers University’s Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, he has taught graduate and undergraduate students how to apply academic theory practically. He serves as a mentor to aspiring designers and architects, offering advice on how to advance sustainable development, community engagement, and place making in diverse real estate markets and planning environments.  Outside of work, Gonzalo is an active member of ULI as part of the URC National Council and serves on the Board of Directors for Partnership Lake Houston in Texas. He also served as a trustee for the Pittsburgh History and Landmark Foundation, Development Corporation.  Gonzalo holds a master’s degree in architecture &amp; urban design from the University of Miami, Coral Gables; a bachelor’s degree with distinction in architecture, and graduate degrees in urban economics and environmental evaluation from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.</image:caption>

Before joining Texas Medical Center in 2013, Cloonan was a finance lawyer representing health care, governmental and higher education clients for Vinson &amp; Elkins LLP and Bracewell LLP. In addition to representation on bond financing, Cloonan represented clients on general counsel matters, legislative and governmental affairs, and real estate and development. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, in Government from the University of Texas at Austin and earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence with Honors from The University of Texas School of Law. He currently serves as Chair of the Buffalo Bayou Partnership and on its Executive Committee and Board of Directors. He served as Senior Managing Director and Partner at Oliver McMillan, where he was responsible for leading the development process for the company’s high profile mixed-use developments, as well as identifying new commercial real estate opportunities for potential acquisition and redevelopment.  He was a partner at Opus West and served as Senior Vice President of Retail Development managing all phases of the development and acquisition process for the western region. Greg spent 18 years as Senior Vice President with the Wattson-Beevast Company where he led all commercial development activities and was responsible for implementing development and acquisition plans for retail, office and industrial projects.  Developments Greg was in charge of:  Foothill Market Place, Firecreek Crossing, The Shops at Tanforan, Shoppes at Chino Hills, River Oaks District, Buckhead Atlanta and Provo Towne Center.
